*** Update *** Jason won't be working tomorrow... pretty much everything is shut down here. So lucky us, he'll be home with us so we'll all be "hunkering down" (a phrase used every other minute on the news today!) together. We had tickets to the Texans football game on Sunday which has now been postponed until Monday, so I guess our weekend plans will be postponed yet again! We'll keep everyone updated...
It looks like we won't be as lucky as we were a couple weeks ago with Gustav... Hurricane Ike is headed our way and they're predicting it will be pretty bad. Madison's school is cancelled tomorrow and evacuations have started today. We are not in a mandatory evacuation area, we are in a voluntary area and right now we are staying, but we are preparing... filling up our gas tanks, lots of water, we know our evacuation route, etc. Please keep your fingers crossed for us, and for everyone in our area that we are all safe.
