We've been busy!

We sure are enjoying having my mother here... M & B are coming up with all kinds of things to do to keep us busy with Grandma. Tuesday night we went to the drive-in (which M likes to call the drive-thru!)- they LOVE when we go to the drive-in and Tuesday night was a special night because they had pony rides and face painting,and concession specials- $1 hot dogs, popcorn, and drinks... they enjoyed all the junk that night! After getting home close to midnight after the movie, we woke up early Wednesday morning and headed down to Galveston for an overnight adventure. We go down to Galveston a lot, but never have we spent the night so M & B were so excited. We spent the day with Grandma at Moody Gardens and had a blast! They loved the Rainforest Pyramid and saw lots of interesting animals- Brady's favorite was the Vampire Bats and lucky us they were just feeding them some fresh blood when we got there so we got to see how they eat. Very interesting creatures, but Wow are they creepy! Brady loved it, though, and couldn't stop talking about them! We saw some Imax movies and got to touch an "iceberg" as part of the Titanic exhibit in the Discovery Pyramid. Being that we live in the south, M & B aren't really used to the cold anymore so we made a game of how long they could each keep their hand on the ice before they got too cold- M made it 25 seconds and B made it 11 seconds...I guess we won't be moving back to the North East any time soon, they could never handle the winter! After we left Moody Gardens we went out to dinner, walked on the beach and went back to the hotel where M & B went swimming in the pool and made some new friends (one little girl was from Massachusetts, what a small world!). After breakfast this morning we headed back over to Moody Gardens because M & B wanted to go back to the "jungle" (the Rainforest Pyramid) and see another Imax movie. Then it was off to the beach for the afternoon before we headed home. We had a blast and can't wait to go back again! Tomorrow is another busy day- we get to take Madison to school to meet her teacher and see her classroom. I can't believe she starts kindergarten on Monday... where did my baby go?
