Northampton Barracudas vs. Bridgestone Blue Dolphins

On June 6th Madison had yet another swim meet- this time it was a home meet (which is always nice!) and they swam against the Bridgestone Blue Dolphins. The swimmers always decorate themselves with tatoos and drawings so we ordered Maddie some swim tatoos to decorate her back- the barracuda in the middle (for obvious reasons... her team is the Barracudas) and one for each stroke she swims- freestyle and backstroke.

Then she wanted Jason to draw a 'cuda' on her leg!

we got to the pool bright and early at 7am- here's Maddie waiting for her warm ups to begin at 7:15am! She waited & waited & waited but in the end the coaches decided to not have the 6 and under kids warm up... it was a chilly morning (only mid 70's!)

here's Brady waiting for Maddie to swim (yes, that's a fan, but don't worry, it's foam)

here's Maddie getting ready to swim her part of the 100 yard Freestyle relay

Madison has touched the wall and now it's Kyla's turn to swim!

time to swim the 25 yard freestyle event

she's swimming faster than everyone... she came in first for her heat!

this is how Brady passes his time!

and Madison passes the time between events with her friends- her she is with her friend Chloe

and here she is getting ready to swim the 25 yard backstroke

she came in first for her heat again! She swam her best times ever at this meet... and Jason and I weren't the only ones to notice... more about that in a little bit!

Madison swam better than ever... 28.16 seconds for freestyle and 31.89 seconds for backstroke... both times qualified her to swim at the All Stars Invitational- not bad for her first year on the team! Also, the coaches noticed how great she did and unanimously voted her CUDA OF THE WEEK!!!!

All in all her team did great! They won their 3rd win of the season (they won 3 of the 4 meets!)
Final score Northampton Barracuda's 427.5
Bridgestone Blue Dolphins 216.5
Tomorrow is the final dual meet of the season then on June 20th they'll swim in the divisionals (top 6 teams in the division compete together)!
Wish her luck!
