Playing in the rain

Well,thank goodness we don't live down near South Padre Island, but we do live in south Texas so we are feeling the effects of Tropical Storm Dolly. Today the forcast is rain, rain, and even more rain. Can't complain, though, because with all the hot, sunny weather, I'm tired of watering the grass everyday, so all this rain will help with the water bill this month!
M & B aren't loving the rain as much as I am, though, especially since I promised them a trip down to Galveston and the Bolivar Peninsula one day this week. Now our day at the beach has been postponed until next week, which of course a 3 and a 5 year old don't totally understand. We've run out of things to do in the house and Madison desperately wanted to swim,so,after breakfast this morning the thunder/lighting finally stopped so M & B went swimming in the rain.

Brady wasn't so sure


M decided that it was time to break out the toys...

that's when Brady decided he was ready to jump in

and he enjoyed the water for about a minute...

until he looked up and saw that the clouds were black... that was enough for him!

Madison was having too much fun, though...nothing would convince her to get out. Not until the thunder came back about 20 minutes later. Oh well,it was fun while it lasted!
