Madison & Braeden's Texas Adventures: Trying to Catch Up

You would think that with both Maddie & Brady in school all day this year that I would have all the time in the world to keep this updated- and I do, I just don't have very much to say. The kids are doing great in school. Maddie has had a few issues with being a bit chatty, but, she's a girl & very social, so I'm not surprised. Brady has really surprised everyone with how well he has adjusted to kindergarten- he loves it! Other than school, M & B have been busy with their activities. Madison has decided not to be on the swim team this year, so our after school schedule has not been as crazy. She's still in ballet (and loving it!), but she has also decided to take a hip hop class. That class is so much fun to watch and her teacher (who was, at one time, on tour with Michael Jackson) is an amazing dancer! Madison loves the class and says that it's really hard but really fun. Everyday she asks why she can't go to class EVERY DAY!
We also spent the past few weekends moving bedrooms & bathrooms around. I thought we had a few more years before we had to do this, but the time had come. Up until a couple weeks ago M & B had their bedrooms at one end of the house and shared one jack & jill bathroom between them. Well, since Maddie's bedroom was the first bedroom in the hallway, Brady liked to cut through her room to get to his room or the bathroom... this annoyed Maddie... this annoyed Maddie a lot! Then he started going into her room and waking her up in the middle of the night just because he couldn't sleep & wanted to talk to her. With school starting this just wasn't going to work anymore. We decided to move Maddie into the guest room at the opposite end of the house, and then she would have her own bathroom, too. Then we decided to move Brady's room into Maddie's old room and the guest room into Brady's old room. All of these room changes required paint, so we did the whole change over two weekends! Everyone is now settled & happy in their own spaces. They love having their own bathrooms and Brady doesn't wake Maddie up in the middle of the night anymore!
We've also been fortunate enough to go to a few football games. Jason took Brady to the Houston Texans/Dallas Cowboys game and we all went to the Texans/Buccaneers game.
And, finally, Brady started "hockey" this past weekend & LOVED it!
